The
musical opened in NYC on 10/15/97 and is still running.  This is NOT A HERALD but rather a carefully removed page of advertising from Playbill Magazine.  The front features artwork; critics' quotes; Disney and Julie Taymore credits and theatre credit.  Music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, with additional music and lyrics by Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, Julie Taymor and Hans Zimmer and book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi (adapted from the screenplay by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts and Linda Woolverton).
Condition is near excellent with minor wear.
Heralds
are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs.  Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches.

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.

I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
