NEW SYNTHETIC MOHAIR DOLL HAND TIED WIGS FOR ANTIQUE AND MODERN DOLLSThis auction is for the size 9 light brown Suzanne
This wig is called Suzanne. It has a center part, no bangs, a blue ribbon on either side. The picture is the SIZE 16. It is shown on a baby head rather than an appropriate dolly head. I don't have good pictures of the smaller size. This smaller size has proportionately shorter curls. The will reach to the shoulder of your doll. They may be tight upon arrival. You can stretch them to the desired length by dampening your fingers, sliding them through the curls, holding stretched to the desired length till dry. The color is pretty accurate. .
The Circumference of your doll's head around the ears in inches is the size you need. If in doubt, order up. (eg 6.5" order the 7)
These beautiful wigs look and feel like real mohair. To make the curls a little longer, you can lightly dampen them, and then gently hold them stretched out to the length you want. You can even stretch them all the way to get a long wig with waves!
Professional doll appraisors have accepted them as
a reasonable substitute for the real thing. Center and side parts are all hand tied leaving no bulk and looking more natural. They will stretch to one size larger than they are. They are the only synthetic fiber wigs available that you can restyle with a curling iron. Others melt, these won't. Unlike the others, very few fibers will pull out when you brush them.
You won't find these wigs elsewhere.
The wigs were personally designed and commissioned by a very respected doll artist/expert. She spent the first 22 years of her career as a hair dresser with a specialty in color. Next she was in charge of designing the wigs and costumes for the Christmas window displays for Macy's and Lord &Taylor in NYC for many years. Then she painted the faces on the prototype dolls for Danbury Mint for several years. Eventually she opened her own doll shop and studio. She sold all kinds of doll related items and gave classes. She still renovates dolls for local museums and has a few private students (including me) but mostlys he has now moved on to other endeavors. I am helping her sell what is left of her extensive inventory. W
e are charging far less than the original selling price in her store.

2. I will combine shipping. I recycle everything I can so your package may not look pretty but it will be safe.
3. I aim to please. Please contact me if there is a problem with your item BEFORE you leave negative or neutral feedback I cannot fix what I don't know about. If the error is on my end (item defective, wrong item sent, etc) tell me about it. I will reship at my expense. Depending on the problem, I may ask you to return it to me (my expense)
4. If the item is listed as "returns accepted" and you don't like it, doesn't fit, etc, please let me know immediately. Return the item (at your expense) for refund of the full purchase price. Refund will be done when I get the item back in the same condition it was sent out. THERE WILL BE NO PARTIAL REFUNDS - the item works for you or it doesn't.
5. Many of the items are at my friend's house. There will be a delay in shipping notification because of the time for emails to go back and forth.
