    Description

    Maker
    : Everything that’s wonderful about high quality bone china is here in this beautiful set of 10 gold trimmed salad plates by the renowned English maker Tuscan. The thin and translucent china is the ideal background for the finely hand-painted and colorful design.
    Age
    : The company was renamed Royal Tuscan when it became part of the Wedgwood Group in 1966, but it has a long history as an iconic maker of beautiful English bone china. The mark on this plate came into use in 1947.
    Design
    : The pattern is lovely: a band of beautiful blue scrolls and pink roses surrounds a pure white bone china background trimmed in gold. A gold and floral medallion is at the center.
    Condition
    : The plates have no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs or stains. There are a number of embedded dark marks that were created in the manufacturing process, a few pale grey stacking marks on the reverse and a few small spots where the glaze is missing.
    Size:
    The plates are 8 inches wide and together weigh 6 pounds 14 ounces.
