    .  The musical opened in NYC
    on 11/05/87 and ran for 765 performances.  The front features artwork; title; awards won; author credits, performance dates; theatre credit and RCA Victor Records credit.  The back contains critics' quotes.  Cast (not listed) includes Betsy Joslyn, Marcus Olson, Mary Gordon Murray, James Weatherstone, Jill Geddes, Peter Walker, Tracy Katz, Kevin R. Wright and Frances Ford.  Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine.  Directed by James Lapine and choreographed by Lar Lubovitch.
    Condition is near excellent with minor wear.
    Heralds
    are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs.  Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches.

    CONDITION:
    I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
