    Description

Luxurious Henredon glass & Fiddleback Mahogany curio lighted display cabinet A++
If you ever wanted and or needed to display your fine collectibles this curio cabinet would do a very fine job! Made by Henredon considered to be one of the top 5 furniture makers in the world. I in my effort to find out more about this cabinet, contacted Howard Lorton Galleries here in Denver and they helped me find information about this cabinet. This is a center cabinet that was sold as a threesome in 1991. The name of the designer line was called "Triomphe". I was told that it most likely retailed then for around 4,200.00. I also was told that to find a comparable piece today made in italy or spain could run up to 10,000.00. Of course I won't get that for it here or anywhere so I've listed it at less than 1/3 that number. The  cabinet is shown on the last three images are STOCK photos which were sent to me by the Howard Lorton gallery to help me identify this along with a blown up description of the caption under one of the pages. This display or curio cabinet is in pristine condition with no scratches dings or chips in any glass and fully functioning Hardware along with fully functioning double hockey puck lights in the ceiling. It has a three sided glass front. There is a door to the left and a door to the right of a central glass panel which is permanent. I did not measure the central panel but being a carpenter believe it to be somewhere around 8 in. The hardware is brass the hinges Are up hinges with brass accents. The curio cabinet has four shelves. The height is 82 and 1/4 in tall. The width is 32 and 1/8 in wide. The depth is approximately 16 in. The shelves are all adjustable but one which sits within a wooden interior frame. The permanent shelf is removable. All shelves have a plate groove in them. the glass shelves are all 3/8" thick glass and tempered as is the doors.the two hockey puck lights are equipped with a rheostat. The finish is called "Recency" The wood used is called fiddleback mahogany. The official stock description mentions Daniela as the main wood using solids and veneers. I have been a carpenter for 30 years, trust me, in laymen's terms it is called fiddleback Mahogany. The official description also mentions that the levelers  are made from a laminated wood called "Obeche". The crown mold detail does not have a veneer on the left and right side where it is meant to but into another curio cabinet. I do not know what the item weighs but it is extremely heavy and built extraordinary really well. There is no shipping for this item. If you would like to buy this item you will have to arrange your own shipping or pick it up in person once you have purchased it. Any other questions feel free to ask me.
