In fair condition (perhaps an 8.5) with some wear but not beat up, see scans, this
Dragon Magazine
is from August 1985.  It is the 100th anniversary issue and features an embossed cover with art by
Dennis Kauth (the
artwork is actually from a paper sculpture created by Kauth... the embossed portion of the cover is the dragon). Also i
ncludes articles by Gary Gygax. Best of all, this issue is actually hand-signed by legendary fantasy illustrator Larry Elmore.
Scans of this special
centennial issue
include front and back cover as well as the content page from the inside of the magazine and the SnarfQuest strip (#25).
Dragon
was a mainstay of the RPG industry and, first
published in 1976, it ran through 2007.  T
his particular issue is from its glory years, the 1980's
.  The magazine's popular SnarfQuest comic strip - written and illustrated by Larry Elmore - ran from 1985 to 1989.
