Description
Listing is for a single 9mm4.3W NUBM08 455nm
laser diode
mounted in a 20mm x 30mm copper module with thermal back half and leads added.
This module is designed for easy mounting in a 20mm XYZ mount that can be purchased separately like this one.
SK-20 Bearing CNC Aluminum Rail Linear Motion Shaft Support Series Slide 20mm
This option assumes you have a glass lens you wish to use.
Please Note this module comes with an acrylic lens in it to keep dust out. It can not handle the power this unit can put out. It will keep contaminates out of the module until you are ready to put yours glass lens in. Replace with your glass lens of choice before powering the module. The best options are the Aixiz 405/445 Glass Lens or the 405 G-2 Lens.
If you need a lens with the unit I do offer this unit in a combo with a three element or with the G-2. See my other listings.
Save yourself the headache of pressing and soldering. Just add heatsink, glass lens and laser driver limiting the current to 4A or less.
Diodes are current hungry and as they heat up their internal resistance is lowered causing them to want to draw more current. Don't attempt to connect the diode directly to a fixed voltage source like a battery. You must use a laser driver limited to no more than 4.5A to power this diode.

NUBM08 4.3W 455nm Laser Diode
The new stock lens looks to be a shorter focal length lens.
I will add more details as I get time to test them. The divergence from first glance seems the same as the NUBM44.
The diode has a pretty hard knee at 5A. I think 4A will be the sweet spot for this diode. It is bluer than the NUBM44 but not nearly as blue as the NUBM07E. In the middle mabye a little closer to the NUBM44 but that bump in wavelength will give it a pretty serious bump in visibility.
